It has everything I want in an anime and more. Overall, Berserk is one of my favorite shows. He's such a strong personality, yet when he's weak, he's weak, and he allows his emotional attachments to pave his path. I found him to be an extremely complex character. I would say that Griffith's story got me the most. Each one has their own story and personality. The background sounds between characters fighting really got me. Going back to the scene I mentioned in the beginning of this review, everything about this scene from the lighting to the intensity of the emotions circling the characters was incredibly done. The movements are fluid and the lighting matches the scenes perfectly. I enjoy the original show, but there's something about the movies that just took my breath away.
BERSERK GOLDEN AGE ARC 1 SUB SERIES
The animation in the older series was good for the time. What controls us emotionally? How far will we go for what we want? The three movies sum up the series it's essentially a remake.

There are various themes that are explored in these movies and in the series, such as revenge, loss, the best and worst of human nature. Where can I even start with that? It's a lot. The second film had one of the most beautifully animated scenes I've ever seen in film. The second film is by far my favorite of the three, not that all three didn't blow me away. If it is against the rules, please tell me.īerserk is just one of those shows that goes above and beyond. I am not sure if it is against site guidelines to provide a link to watch via stream, so if you ask, i will give it to you. (Plus there is the century slayer battle, who doesn't love that!)įor those that wish to watch it that haven't, I can provide you with a streaming link if you post on my wall.
BERSERK GOLDEN AGE ARC 1 SUB MOVIE
Overall, it seems that the second movie was not as good as the first movie in terms of effor put into the movie, but it is still a good movie. While the version I watched had some dulled profanity, I would suspect that the DVD 'NR' release or different subbers will have more or less language filters. This is obviously a TV-MA or R rated movie due to the nudity, language, violence and gore.

For those that watched the first, there is still an obscene amount of gore in the movie, much like the first movie. While it left out some parts, it also went into more detail in some scenes which helped the advancement of the story. When I watched it, it sounded muffeled and had some odd rings here and there.Īs a fan of the series, I quite enjoyed watching the second movie. Sound quality will vary on the version you watch. Some parts of the anime have been skipped due to a time constraint on the movie, but viewers will know the general story line. The second movie has a very quick synopsis of the first, and starts in the middle of a fight, it would have been nice to have a few scenes that are leading up to the battle, to help remind the viewer of what is happening. If you have watched the anime (early 1990's) you will already know the plot line of the second movie, but you will notice that some things are left out. Personally, I am not a fan of some of the voice actors, as some do not seem to fit the character. Watching the movie is somewhat challenging if you do not like the new animation style, but it is not that bad once you get used to it. It uses the same upgraded animation style as the first. Firstly, it is hard to find a quality version, unless you are lucky enough to have a dvd or blu-ray copy.

As a fan of the series, it is hard to not to love this movie, but there are a few things wrong with it.
